We’ve all watched enough TV in our lives that we , or our clients even more so, can go into lawyer-mode automatically - where little gets done. A lawyer meeting his new client tells him to shut up, let him do the talking. By contrast, the Lawyer in a therapeutic setting needs to shut up so something can get done – so change can occur, as well as accountability. It’s a great toy to take out when the going gets rough because the client, or your child, is in Lawyer Mode! And, let's not forget: some people employ a whole firm of lawyers!
